Heritage National Parks, in Boonah Shire are your escape back to nature. The perfect
place for a quiet week-end away in the country or stay longer and enjoy a break
away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Enjoy breakfast on your own private
verandah with spectacular views and watch the many birds flitting about the beautiful
native garden. “Bilyana” is Aboriginal for wedge tailed eagle and these majestic birds
can often be seen soaring overhead.
You can explore our 43 acre property at leisure,
wander in the gardens, check out our orchard and vegetable garden, perhaps lean
over the fence and meet our five friendly alpacas. Our mob of wallabies come down
most evenings for a drink and perhaps some grain. Don’t forget to bring your camera
or binoculars to capture the wild life and the views.
Lovers of the great outdoors can explore the myriad of bush walking tracks in the
National Parks. Mt French is internationally known as a world class rock climbing
area and has spectacular views over the Fassifern Valley easily accessible from the
car park. There is something to suit everyone, from lunch at the many country pubs,
wineries, scenic drives to challenging bush walks. Lake Maroon, just 5 mins drive, is
well known for fishing, sailing and water skiing. It is a relaxing spot for a lunch time
barbecue with excellent picnic facilities. |
